I bought this car in ~1989 when I was looking for parts for a hard top TR7 1978 I had. This car was in better shape and it was a convertible. So I built this one instead and scarped the coupe.
The car was striped down and was totally rebuilt. Even the original paint was removed and repainted. The engine was rebuilt. Just about every part was rebuilt or replace on this car.

What it needs:
A good home, preferably with a garage.
The tan canvas top is old and is leaking and needs to be replaced.
Some rust need attention. Both doors have started to rust on their bottom. I will try to take some pictures of the rust. Check www.delcom-eng.com/tr7.asp for pictures.
The rear end has a lower gear ratio causing the speedometer to read around 6 miles an hour higher then it should. I have the correct speedo gear to correct this, put never had a chance to install it.

Extra parts:
I have lots of extra parts that come with the car.
5 Speed Transmission ( in parts). A pair of complete motorized lights. Body molding. Brakes and clutch cylinders. And many extras.
I just replaced the starter motor with a new lite weight starter motor. The original one was rebuilt and also comes with the car.

Why I'm selling:
My reason for selling is that I'm losing the place to store it. The house that I currently stored it at is being sold.
I also don't drive this car as much as I would like to, due to a busy schedule. In the last 4 years I have problaly driven an average of 50 miles a year.

Good condition, Well Maintained, very low mileage.
Motor runs great, always starts right up.
Handles great, fun to drive.
A little rust starting to show up.
Good Title.

Local pickup only. I will gladly help you load it on to a flatbed if needed.
The car is located in Rye, New York. Rye is located about 30 miles north of NYC, on the NY CT border.
